This beautiful, historic fieldstone farm outbuilding certainly added to the views that surrounded this property. However, the home owner wanted to add vivid summer colour and flowers that could be cut and used inside their home. As a result, we created a landscape that included the striking pink of raspberry coneflowers, glacier blue fescue grasses, paris coral bells, aglia daisies, white phlox, and may night salvia. We also added some taller plants that included karl forester grasses, wigelia, and a compact lilac bush to create winter interest as well. We finished the project off with our favourite mulch, Canada red, an all natural mulch that contains no dyes and works to keep weeds down and hold moisture in the soil. In the end, we created a great new look for a historic stone farm building.
