This flagstone patio had been built using an incorrect joint material. When the patio was installed, crushed limestone was used to fill the joints between the large flagstones. The crushed limestone allowed debris to collect in the joints and over time weeds invaded the joints creating a messy look to the patio that was difficult to maintain.
We replaced the crushed limestone with the proper polymeric sand which is designed for the large joints in a flagstone patio. The polymeric sand will look great for many years. It also creates a stronger barrier to help stop weed growth and keep the stones stable.

After the crushed limestone was removed we installed the proper polymeric sand which will look good and last for many years.
